Today, in the morning, an accident happened near the hwy that cased traffic to be backed up and on a slow crawl along the motorway and on Giinagay Way that impacted our town.
From as far as Valla on Giinagay Way, traffic was bumper to bumper, and even way further down south on the motorway, this delay was for almost 10 hours.
The historic Raleigh Bridge on Keevers Drive, underwent a significant $3.3 million facelift. The rehabilitation work, involved removing lead-based paint, repairing corrosion, and a repaint. The bridge, originally opened in 1935, to connect Repton and Raleigh, including areas of Urunga, Bellingen, and Mylestom. The re-opening was a celebration put on for the community, a ribbon was cut by our local Mel Pavey MP for roads and transport.
